Obituary for
Theodore Arnold "Ted" Jones Sr.
Theodore A. Jones, Sr., 79, of Washington, Maine went home to be with his family in heaven on February 14, 2016. He was born in Brooksville, Maine on December 3, 1936. He was the son of Arthur Jones Sr. and Vivian Carter Jones. Ted was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and husband.
Ted passed away peacefully in his home with his family by his side. Jane and her husband Hoyt took care of Ted in his home until his passing of a long illness.
Ted loved hunting, fishing, gardening and he especially loved the Boston Red Sox, not ever missing a game on television. Ted loved family and get togethers with his grandchildren and great grandchildren coming to visit. Ted loved Jason his “special” little friend and his family, Dee, Jay and Aidan.
Ted loved his beloved family pets Rascal, Rosie and Bud. He loved boating with Janet and Hoyt on lazy summer days and his favorite foods were baked beans and finnan haddie.
Ted was predeceased by his parents, Arthur Jones, Sr. and Vivian Carter Jones, his wife and the love of his live, Lois Jones, two brothers and two sisters.
He leaves behind his brother James Jones and wife Pat of Warren, ME, sister Marion Jones of Massachusetts, sister Ruth Jones of Rhode Island, two sons Ralph A. Jones and his companion Kathy of Montville, ME and Ted Jr. of Ellsworth, ME, a daughter Janet E. Emery and her husband Hoyt of Washington, ME, grandchildren Randi Moore and her husband Bert of Camden, ME, Jen Duffy Richard and her husband Adam of Payson, AZ, Jill Chandler and companion Rusty Johnson of Camden, ME, Jessie Dodge and husband Jeff of Warren, ME, Dustin Woodworth and wife Audrey of Augusta, ME, and Ralph Jones and wife Robyn of Lincolnville, ME. Great grandchildren, Kaylee Duffy, Alex Moore, Frankie and Joey Dodge, Dylan, Trevor and Ali Johnson and Cory Woodworth, and many nieces and nephews.
Ted will be missed by all. We love you Dad, rest in peace.
