Mary E. (Marson) Abbott, 93, of Wiscasset, died on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 in the Miles Hospital. She was the wife of the late Willard A. Abbott.
Mary was born in Mystic, Connecticut on February 15, 1923 and was daughter of the late Charles and Clara (Larrabee) Marson. She attended and graduated from Boothbay Harbor Schools.
She was a woman who enjoyed staying home and taking care of her husband and children. She loved spending time with her husband in their greenhouses and tending to the flower and vegetable gardens in the yard. Mary loved farm animals also.
She is survived by her son, David Abbott and his wife, Linda of Alna; a daughter-in-law, Jennie Abbott of Wiscasset; four grandsons, Michael Abbott and his wife, Kathy of Durham, Bill Abbott of Jefferson, Jason Abbott and his wife, Alexa of Westport, Abden Simmons and his wife, April of Waldoboro; two granddaughters, Shawna and her companion, Tim and Laura McFarland of Farmington and eight great-grandchildren. She was also predeceased by her son, Charles Abbott and her siblings, Charles and Dorothy Marson.
