Your mom was wonderful. She was so accepting and kind to me and my kids. I knew her in Springfield and visited once in Maine. In Springfield my kids were (mostly) well behaved at her house and I know it was because she accepted them without judgement. Kids know when it is OK and they knew they were OK in her house. I loved the way she gardened, she inspired me to make beautiful flower beds and to grow vegetables and to always try new things in the garden. I hope you "kids" have happy and wonderful memories of a life well lived, of a mom who just kept going, regardless.
