Condolence: On the first anniversary of Bill's passing, we want you to know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. We hope that the memories of the past give you encouragement for the future as you walk each day with your loved one in your heart. It is our privilege and honor to serve your family.
Condolence: I met Bill at The Community Center while instructing the Matter of Balance class. He always had a smile on his face and I will miss that! I was very proud of him when he finally decided that wearing his sneakers was in fact better for him and he would remind me of it every time I saw him :.) even when the class was over. He was very proud of is daughter whom he referred to as a physical "terrorist" and told me she was always after him to keep exercising much as I had done in the class.
He often mentioned how important the Community Center had
become for him especially since his wife had died and he was alone. It gave him purpose and an extended family close to home that so many older people need. He will be missed there I am sure of it!
My condolences to the family. May your memories of him stay close to your heart forever.
Condolence: I will always remember Bill as a devoted husband to Marguerite and I know how grief stricken he was when she passed away. He willed himself to carry on after her death and it was always such a pleasure to see him at Mama D's and at the Community Center -- his homes away from home. He was kind, caring and never complained.
Many years ago, I offered him a gardening plot on our Salt Marsh Cove property so that he could plant new varieties of rhododendrons. When they bloomed every year in the spring, that hillside was covered with gorgeous blooms.
He and Marguerite were both patients of my husband, George Jones, who passed away in April.
You are all so fortunate to have known him as a loving father and grandfather for many wonderful years. He was very proud of his family and eagerly looked forward to your visits. Bill had a good life and truly made this world a better place!
