I was fortunate to have Marion Gray as my music teacher at Monroe-Woodbury Junior High School in 1975. I recall her love of music, how she shared with her classes her record albums (remember those?) of Broadway musicals--Oklahoma, The King and I, South Pacific, and many others. Such a warm, gifted woman. She made learning fun.
I caught up with Miss Gray about two years ago, finding her featured in an issue of the WAVES National newsletter. We reconnected by email and spoke on the phone, sharing news of each others lives. She was delighted to hear from a former student after so many years, to see how lives turn out. I thanked her for being such a memorable teacher. She will be remembered by many...
