Victor was a bright light on Monhegan. I could always count on a wave and a smile and a "Hi Weezie" as he passed me on the road or on Ellen's porch. He ALWAYS showed up when he was needed. Few people are as grounded or gracious as "Mr Vic" was. That's how my daughters knew him. They'd laugh shyly but engage easily with "Mr Vic" as he led us to our table at The Monhegan House. We are all very sad and will miss this iconic Monhegan friend. My condolences to his family and friends who are reeling from his loss.

We knew Vincent for over 20 years but only saw him once a year on our visits to Monhegan. He had a keen wit and a quick smile and always welcomed my wife and I with a warm handshake or hug. He had a practical, refreshing outlook on life, and he encouraged others that we were not alone when it comes to solving our own problems. He was so helpful to us and we will miss him very much. Our visits to Monhegan will not be the same, but they will certainly be enriched with our memories of Vincent. Good bye, dear friend, until we meet again. John & Christine

Forever in my memory is where you will stay. You helped guide me to overcome many of life's challenges. With your loving kindness, support, and tough encouragement I quite smoking cigarettes, drinking alcohol, recognized the importance of eating healthy ( Tara Hire, thank you for your loving support and nutrition education), carpentry skills, balancing a checkbook and relationship advice. I learned the value of giving with a kind heart and patience. I came upon the Island as a boy and left as a man! You are forever part of my soul. God bless Victor, Susan, Kole, Tara, Zoe and family.
