Cecile Emilie (Morin) Gifford 79, of Waldoboro, peacefully passed away August 28, 2017, at Miles Memorial Hospital. She was born on February 16, 1938, in Damariscotta, to Joseph P Morin and Irma M. Morin.

Cecile graduated from Lincoln Academy in 1957, she then married Joseph L Gifford, Sr. becoming a homemaker and raising their three children in Round Pond and Damariscotta. Later in life she traveled the United States Rv’ing and co-driving a long-distance hauling truck with her late husband Fred D. Coughlin, they settled in Kernersville, NC until her move back to Maine in 2011. Cecile enjoyed cooking and crocheting in her spare time.

She was predeceased by her mother and father, sisters, Dorothy Genthner of Damariscotta, Marilyn Banks of Belfast and Eldina Larrabee of Searsport and her husbands.

She is survived by her son Joseph L Gifford and his wife Patricia of Newcastle, daughter Lisa M Vinal of Litchfield, daughter Michelle L. Eugley and her husband Rodger of Waldoboro, sisterly niece Irma and her husband Richard Prentice of Damariscotta and brother Milford Rhodes and his wife Jessie of Belfast. She has twelve grandchildren and five great grandchildren and her beloved dog Precious Ann.

A private Memorial Service will be held at a later time.
