Elizabeth Reynolds Brown, 95, of Friendship, passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2017, at Cove’s Edge in Damariscotta, Maine.

Elizabeth was born on July 6, 1922 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin daughter of Gerard Cook and Helen Mullin Cook. She attended and graduated from Roslindale High School in Massachusetts and then graduated from the Tufts Surgical Nursing program.

She married Chester Brown in 1940. Elizabeth worked as a surgical nurse in the operating room at the Knox Hospital in Rockland, ME, was an office manager, nurse and gal Friday for Dr. Barbara Luce Fuller, and then went on to be an administrator at Senior Spectrum in Damariscotta.

Elizabeth loved reading and travelling. She was always on the go!

She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Chester H. Brown, sons, Christopher P. Brown and Bennett R. Brown, and grandsons, Wayne K. Young and Kevin Morton.

Peggy is survived by her son, Richard D. Brown of Stonington, her daughter Pamela J. McCusker of Bowdoin, granddaughters Tory Gensel of Thomaston and Valerie Jones of Stonington, grandsons Barry Young of Deer Isle, Richard D. Brown II of Stonington, several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

At Elizabeth’s request there will be no services.
