George E. Harris, 71, died December 19, 2017 at St. Mary’s D’Youville Pavilion in Lewiston. He was born June 8, 1946 in Lewiston to Elbridge Harris, Sr. and Mary Harris. George grew up in Auburn and attended local schools.

He was a self-employed woodcutter for over forty years. George enjoyed fishing, Nascar, boxing, and helping his neighbors. He was an avid animal lover. He enjoyed keeping the gardens at the Roak Block looking nice for all of the residents.

He was predeceased by his parents; brother, Joe Harris; sisters, Dorothy Campbell, Mary-Barbara Harris, and Ruth White.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Harris of Auburn

Sixteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren

A graveside service will be held at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Auburn on June 8, 2018 at 1:00 pm.
