Obituary for Audrey A Kelly

Audrey A. Kelly, 90 of St. Andrews Village, Boothbay Harbor, died on Friday, January 5, 2018 while under hospice care at the village with her loving husband, Bob and her twin daughters, Jan and Joy by her side.

Audrey was born in Taunton, Massachusetts on January 1, 1928, the daughter of Attilio and Gladys Baldini. She attended Southboro schools and graduated in 1945. She then attended the Fanny Farmer School of Cooking and Tea Room Management and became well known for her cooking which she loved.

In July of 1950 she married Francis J. Bousquet. Upon his graduation from law school they moved from Abington, Massachusetts to Southboro where Audrey soon became actively involved in the Historical Society. She also became interested and active in needlecraft, and sewing.

In 1984 she entered the business world in Natick, Massachusetts. She owned and operated the Curiosity Shop and for for five years enjoyed buying and selling collectibles and antiques. Eventually Audrey settled permanently into her summer home on Sawyers Island in Boothbay, Maine that overlooked the Sheepscot River. It wasn’t long before Audrey made many new friends and became involved in the town’s activities. One of the new friends she met was Robert Kelly, a fellow divorcee. Friendship turned into love and they were married in 1990. They spent many, many happy, loving years together. She and Bob took several cross-country trips together, enjoying the sights along the way and visiting family and friends in the west. They also spend a number of winters on Sanibel Island in Florida where Audrey became an enthusiastic shell collector and crafter.

For over thirty years she volunteered her services to the St. Andrews Hospital Auxiliary’s Thrift Shop and initiated their annual fashion show to promote the shop.

Audrey was a loving, caring, wife, mother and friend. She continued making new friends throughout her life.

She was predeceased by her parents, her sisters; Nancy Baldini and Norma Epifano and her brother Ronald Baldini.

Audrey is survived by her loving husband Bob, her twin daughters; Jan Pierce and Joy Munoz and their husbands Rick and Mark, a sister Diane Matthews, three grandchildren, three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Audrey’s wishes were that no service would be held, that she would be cremated and her ashes scattered in the cove between Sawyer’s Island and Indian Town Island. Should friends desire, memorial donations may be made to the Boothbay Harbor Senior Center, P.O. Box 335, Boothbay Harbor, Maine 04538.
