Stephan Riley Branch passed away peacefully on November 20th surrounded by family at his home in Boothbay Harbor, Maine. Steve was 70 years old, born on October 23, 1948 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska to parents Harold and Juanita Branch. Steve grew up on the island of St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands and attended Antilles School. He later attended Admiral Farragut Academy in St. Petersburg, Florida and The University of Southern Alabama in Mobile, Alabama.

Steve was Owner and Master Electrician of Boothbay Harbor Electric for 26 years. He began his career as an electrician working with his father for the family business, Branch Electric, in St. Thomas. Steve loved playing golf, and was an avid collector and creator. He was a skilled craftsman in stonework, walkways, woodworking, and gardening. Steve was an active member of the Boothbay Region Lions Club for many years, and served as King Lion.

Steve is survived by his wife, Margaret Branch of Boothbay Harbor, Maine; daughter, Stephanie Branch of South Portland, Maine; nephew, Roy Branch and his family Felette Branch and Dylan Peace of Boynton Beach, Florida; as well as the family cats, Oyster and Indigo. Steve was predeceased by his parents, Pie and Nita Branch, and by his brother, Thomas Branch.

Friends are welcome to join the family for a celebration of Steve’s life on Sunday, December 2nd from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at Brady’s Restaurant, 25 Union Street, Boothbay Harbor, Maine.
