Condolence: I am honored to have known and worked with Norm at a retail store in Newcastle. I enjoyed listening to stories of his adventures and the love of his life, his wife Peg. He always was a bright spot in my day when I had the pleasure of seeing him. He was full of life and a great inspiration, I will miss him.
Condolence: I was fortunate to have visited with Norm a week before his death. He reminded me that he was 92 "and a half". We traded tales and swapped jokes. He worried about the sale of the house and the burden it was on "the girls." We reminisced about the Schnifflager house and how cold the river water was, good times at the sun and fun club in Amherst. He spoke proudly of Gretchen, Karen and their respective families. When I left I knew it was the last time. I also knew he was a man at peace.
Condolence: Norm was beloved for many years by everyone at Knox Museum in Thomaston, where he dressed up in his Revolutionary costume and gave wonderful tours of Montpelier. We loved him dearly, and will truly miss him.
