It is with sadness to announce that Edith Geneva Pierpont Bragg passed away on Saturday, September 17th at the age of 84. She was the salutatorian in her eighth grade year at the two room Jefferson Village School. In her graduating year of 1950 from Waldoboro High School she was elected to be the class prophesier. She worked summers waitressing in Kennebunk and Waldoboro to pay for her two years in business administration at the University of Maine at Orono. Edith belonged to the Alumni Association of the University of Maine at Orono.

Edith spent from June to October of 1952 doing clerical work at the American Trust Co, in Palo Alto, California, then returned to Maine from 1952 to 1960 as a clerical worker at Sylvania Electric in Waldoboro, Maine. She enjoyed organizing family gatherings around member’s birthdays and various celebrations and spending time with the extended family. She also contributed to the Bunker Hill Ladies Aid, Veteran Association, and American Heart Association. Edith has been a long standing member of the Orff's Corner Community Church in Waldoboro, Maine.

Edith gave her all to both her children and thought the world of her two granddaughters and daughter-in-law. She thought ahead of time what to gift them all for their birthdays and special occasions in their lives, and always had a well thought out card or gift ready for each of them when the time came.
