Click here to view all obituariesThough many years have passed, I have very fond childhood memories of my Uncle Brian that I will never forget. It sometimes seems like yesterday that my friends and I rode our bikes around town, trying to whimsically escape my Uncle Brian who was "stalking us" like prey in a game of hide and seek. We always knew that however far we went, however fast we went...he would appear out of nowhere and literally scoop us on on our bikes and return us home, only to have the charade played out again another day. When I told my best childhood friend about my Uncle Brian's passing, the first thing he said was, "remember those awesome days when we rode our bikes and your seemingly omniscient uncle tracked us down inexplicably. He was the hide and seek king!" Yes, I remember those memories and many more from long ago and although I have missed and will miss him, he will be in my thoughts always. My prayers to Aunt Carol, Heather, Sean and the rest of the family.
"I think there are roads that lead us to each other. But in my family, there were not just roads but also underground tunnels. I think we sometimes got lost in those underground tunnels. No, not lost, we just lived there. But there are always ways out of the tunnel if you look hard enough."
