Condolence From: John M Farrell
Condolence: Hey Jimmy:
Spent several years working with you in Killington, VT and at your
carving studio in West Bridgewater, VT. I really looked up to you for the many skills you had.
I’m 78 now so that was almost 50 years ago.

Condolence From: Charles Scott
Condolence: Sue and the Keefer family,
My sincerest condolences to the loss of Jim.
He has often been in my thoughts over the years.
Our families were close and we grew up together as children.
The Scott's always loved the Keefer connection.
I have a lot of funny memories that I shared with Jim for many years.
He loved my Mom, Grace, and we all loved Jim.
My decoys have become more precious to me.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Condolence From: Daniel Quinn
Condolence: Mere words cannot begin to express my deep sorrow and sincere condolences to all who loved this big man. Man in stature. Big in heart. Big in life. Bigger in memories. We knew each other but a short time, but when you buy someone's house, they become a part of you in many ways, and you, them. When I purchased what is now The Appalachian Trail House in Woodstock, VT from Jim and Suzanne, as part of the deal, Jim had to carve two decoys for me. One, I was going to keep. The other, I intended to leave in perpetuity with the house. When Jim finally gave me the carved pieces, they were a PAIR of Hooded Mergansers. He KNEW I couldn't or wouldn't break up a pair...so now, they both shall remain with the house. EVER the Trickster! I'll omit the profanity...out of love and respect.

Suzanne, Stacey, Sally, I am SO sorry for your loss. I haven't seen Jim in way too long, but he's never been that far from heart and wonderful memories.

Wishing you all the best,

Dan Quinn
