Obituary for Ancil Leroy Prock

Ancil Leroy Prock, 86, died January 3, 2018 at Lincoln Health, Miles Campus in Damariscotta with his family by his side. He was born on November 25, 1931 in Waldoboro to Alton Prock and Dorothy (Jackson) Prock.

Ancil attended local schools and graduated from Waldoboro High School. He then joined the Navy Seabees from 1952 to 1957. He was the Vice President of Prock Marine, Co. and retired in 1993. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and he was a jack of all trades. He was a member of the Damariscotta Legion Post #42.

Ancil is predeceased by his parents and brother-in-law Herbert Paradise.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Shirley Prock of Nobleboro, daughters Deidre Tukey (Robert) of Richmond, Tina O’Donnell (Kevin) of Nobleboro, son Corey Prock (Lise) of Waldoboro, granddaughters Quinn Tukey, Jenna Tukey, grandsons Owen O’Donnell, Colin O’Donnell, Corey Prock, II, step granddaughter Kyle Dodge and 6 great grandchildren, brothers, Wallace Prock (Doris) of Waldboro, Merle Prock (Loraine) of Waldoboro, Maynard Prock (Marcia) of Waldoboro, sisters Marie Davis (Harvey) of Florida and Mary Lou Paradise of Florida.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Hall Funeral Home, 949 Main Street, Waldoboro, with Pastor Bette Bond officiating. A reception will follow immediately at the North Nobleboro Community Hall, Upper East Pond Road, in Nobleboro.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Ancil’s name to either the American Heart Association, 1 Bowdoin Mill Island #300, Topsham, ME 04086 or the American Cancer Society, 51 US-1 #M, Scarborough, ME 04074.
