Obituary for Neil S Grover

Neil S Grover
Neil S. Grover 59, of Boothbay, ME., passed away peacefully the morning of March 14, 2018 at Lincoln Health Center in Damariscotta.

Neil was the son of the late Betty L’Hostis Sitton, and Dale Grover. He was born in Boothbay, and the Boothbay Region was always home to Neil, and other than to leave to go hunting, attend gun shows, or an occasional trip to Cabela’s, Neil did not see any reason to venture anywhere else. Neil had a passion for guns, gun smithing, and hobby crafts, working in his shop, and helping others in any way he could. He was a very proud NRA member. Neil had many favorite sayings, some you could repeat, others, …”not so much”, and those of you that knew Neil, know what they were. He loved his family, and had a huge heart, and would do anything for anyone.

He attended local schools and graduated with the Class of 1976. He worked with Mace Carter and helped erect the Footbridge in Boothbay Harbor. He worked as a ship-fitter at Goudy & Stevens Shipyard, and Washburn and Doughty. He ended his working career as a travel lift operator at Boothbay Region Boatyard. He was a member of the Damariscotta Fish and Game Club
