Janet E. Peters, 84, of Boothbay, ME., passed away peacefully on March 21, 2018 at Maine General Medical Center in Augusta, ME.

She was the daughter of Gerald and Hazel (Clifford) Pinkham of Boothbay Harbor, ME.
She was born in Boothbay Harbor, attended local schools and raised her family here. Janet worked as a chambermaid in the area, and retired after many years of employment from Flagship Motel. She loved her family, enjoyed company, going for a ride, and going out to dinner. She was described as a “sweetheart” to those that knew her, she loved everyone, and “loved life”.

Janet was predeceased by her husband; Edward Peters, and son Timothy.

She is survived by her daughters; Debra Bartley and her partner Steve Pitcher of Boothbay Harbor, and Rhonda Belgard and her husband Harold of Boothbay.

Sons; Dennis and his wife Pam Peters of Boothbay, and David Peters also of Boothbay.

Sisters; “Deanie” Blake, Dilys Washburn, and Sandra Barter, all of Boothbay Harbor, and Roberta Chubbuck of Edgecomb.

Brothers; Larry Pinkham of Boothbay, Darryl Pinkham of Edgecomb, and Gary Pinkham of Boothbay Harbor.

Janet leaves behind five grandchildren; Philip Bartley, Sara Bartley, Stacy Peters , Jesse Peters and Brian Peters.

Several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Saturday, April 28, 2018, at 11:00 a.m., will be a committal service at Evergreen Cemetery, Boothbay, ME., followed by a celebration of life at 1:00 p.m. at the American Legion Post, 25 Industrial Parkway, Boothbay, ME.
