Obituary for Thomas Wriggins III

Thomas Wriggins III, 76 of Nobleboro, ME passed away June 4, 2018 at his home. He
was born January 31, 1942 in Philadelphia, PA to Thomas and Adah (Horton) Wriggins,
Jr. Tom was a graduate of Nathaniel Hawthorne College and St. Johns University Law
School, where he obtained his Juris Doctorate. Tom retired to his beloved Maine in
2007 from Pittsburgh, PA.

For the last 11 years he was an active volunteer at the Boothbay Railway Village, as a steam train engineer (which had been his childhood dream!) and conductor. Tom was a member of the Brunswick Church of Christ and delivered the opening prayer each Sunday, an avid reader, debater and cigar aficionado. Always ready to discuss politics, how things were in his day, and Pittsburgh Steeler Football he frequently could be heard near and far yelling at the TV screen and arguing the last play called by Coach Tomlin. He was a great debater and took great pride in choosing the other side just for the pure joy of the argument.

Tom was preceded in death by his wife, Gail Lieb Wriggins, parents Thomas and Adah Wriggins, sisters, Natalie Wriggins and Virginia Hochella. Tom is survived by his son, Thomas Wriggins IV and wife Alana; daughters, Whitney Wriggins Siconolfi and husband Pete and Jamie Wriggins Huntington and husband, Craig. Five grandchildren, Thomas Wriggins, Tyler Siconolfi, Emma Wriggins, Abigail Siconolfi and Natalie
Huntington. Nieces, Maisie Hochella and Jodi Saccani. Nephew, Michael Hochella.

A memorial service will take place at 4:00 p.m. on July 22, 2018 at The Boothbay Railway Village, and a private internment at the family cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations in his name can be made to Coffee for the Troops, c/o Brunswick Church of Christ 1 Jordan Ave, Brunswick ME 04011 or the MS Society of South West FL- Online @ www.MSCenterswfl.org or mail to 3372 Woods Edge Circle #103 Bonita Springs, FL 34134.
