Obituary for Monica B Crute

Monica Belle Crute died August 24, 2018 in Thomaston, Maine. She was born January 14, 1963 in Rockland, Maine, the daughter of Karl Sr. and Laraine Stone Crute. She grew up in Cushing and graduated from Georges Valley High School. She lived most of her life in Cushing and Thomaston.
Monica’s greatest joy in her life were her two children, MacKenzie and RJ. She couldn’t do enough for them. She savored every moment she could have with them, and loved listening to the chatter of kids in her home.
She enjoyed family time at South Pond in Warren; cruising around on their pontoon boat, cookouts, fishing and camping. She also enjoyed snowmobiling and motorcycle riding. She loved her miniature dachshunds, her cats and her daughter’s dogs.
Monica was a dedicated UPS employee where she gave 30 years of service.
Monica is survived by her children, MacKenzie Jane Hall and RJ Hall, both of Cushing; and her step-daughter Heidi McMahon, her husband Jay McMahon and step-granddaughter Jaymie McMahon all of Cushing; her parents Karl Sr. and Laraine Crute of Cushing; her siblings, Edwynna Crute and Kip Crute of Cushing, and Alicia Morse and her husband Robert Morse of Annapolis, MD; nephews Nicholas Olson of Cushing , Eli Morse of Annapolis, MD, Shawn Crute, Kalob Crute, Trevor Crute and Max Crute all of Thomaston; nieces Zoe Morse of NYC, NY, Anna Morse of Annapolis, MD, and Harlow Peterson Crute of Thomaston, Maine.
Monica was predeceased by a brother, Kevin Stone Crute.
There will be a private viewing for family at Hall’s Funeral Home and Tribute Center in Thomaston on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. There will be a Celebration of Life on Friday, August 31, 2018 from Noon until 3:00 p.m. at Kevin’s Landing in Cushing. A Time of Sharing will held at 1:00 p.m. All are welcome. Please come with stories to share, informal pot luck.
