Condolence From: Florence Quinn
Condolence: A moment of silence seems in order. For the man he was. For the inventor, the businessman, lover of sailing and my father’s best friend. When I picture him it is in NYC, often at the Yale Club or Avon. Your dad was always kind, interested and alert in his gentle and handsome way. When talking to buyers, he was the opposite of a salesman, which made him very good and compelling. He was quiet-spoken and unrehearsed. It seemed that he was always inventing something and excited about what he was doing. My father was the front man and relationship-builder to your father-entrepreneur. They were a wonderful team in business and in life. You could feel the love between them. They were in love. Your dad felt like an extension of our family. After they moved my dad to the other building at Falmouth House, your dad was the first person I would call, sometimes in tears, whenever my father was upset or I was concerned about his care. His answer was always – I will check on him. Now they can keep tabs on each other. Love, Florence

Condolence: John was one of my favorite persons both as a client and friend. He taught me many things one that I will share. I had a habit of answering a question with "to be honest". John would answer- you haven't been honest up to now? One of the nicest and smartest person I have known. My condolences to his entire Family. Mel Shulman

Condolence From: Captain Jean Pousthomis ( FR )
Condolence: I have got the luck to meet John several year ago. His passion to France touched me a lot. We use to speak french together and he never forgot all the souvenir he had overthere. From "Canal du midi" to "Paris" he was always talking about the "A la Francaise" with his pretty french accent. Dear john's family, receive all my prayer from France for this gentleman. I will never forget his nice and kind attention he had about all of you. Jean

Condolence: Death is the hardest thing we have to deal with in life. I know words can do little to take away the pain you are feeling, so may the God of comfort be with the Armstrong family, helping you to cope. Lean on Him in the days to follow, (2 Thessalonians 2:16, 17) and read of his marvelous hope for those who have fallen asleep in death, John 11:41-44 and John 5:21. My deepest sympathy.
