Obituary for Pamela R. Coombs

Pamela R. Coombs, 71, died on January 4th at her home in Thomaston surrounded by her loving family. Pam was born May 19, 1947 in Rockland to Edmund J. Randall and Lucille Gillis Randall. Pam grew up in Thomaston and graduated from Georges Valley High School in the class of 1965.

Pam spent her whole 45 year career in the insurance business as an agent beginning at the Clarence F. Joy Agency, F.S. James Agency, and finally at the Allen Agency.

Pam was a Rainbow girl before joining the Grace Chapter #93 O.E.S. in
Thomaston in 1965. She was a Past Worthy Matron several times, and
served as a Grand Officer from 2002 to 2003. She was a long time member
of the Thomaston Baptist Church. She also served as choir director of the
Littlefield Memorial Baptist Church in Rockland for seventeen years before
coming back to the Thomaston Baptist Church.

Pam was a kind and generous person, and had one of the best Soprano
voices in the area. She sang several times in the 1950’s on the Ted Mack
Original Amateur Show. She enjoyed camping, being outdoors, and
gardening. She was very supportive in all of her grandson, Nathan’s, sports
and endeavors. Pam will be missed by all of her family and friends.
Pam was predeceased by her parents.

Pam is survived by her husband of 48 years, John H. Coombs of Thomaston
Son, Robert Coombs and his wife Jessi of Thomaston

Jasmine O’Farrell of Thomaston
Derek O’Farrell of Thomaston

A Burial service is planned for Pam at the Village Cemetery in Thomaston on May 4th, 2019 at 3:00 p.m.
Rev. Wayne Sawyer will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Pam’s memory may be made to the Sussman
House, 40 Anchor Drive, Rockport, Me 04856 or Thomaston Baptist Church,
212 Main Street, Thomaston, Me 04861.
