Obituary

Paul Philip Bramhall, Sr., 83, of Friendship, passed away on February 3, 2019 at Cove’s Edge in Damariscotta.

Paul was born on November 24, 1935 in Friendship, Maine to Philip Bramhall and Thelma (Simmons) Bramhall.

Paul attended local schools and was a graduate of Waldoboro High School. After high school he joined the Army where he served in Germany. On October 5, 1968 he married Joyce Neal in Friendship and they were married 50 years. He worked at Bath Iron Works for 35 years until he retired. After BIW he was a stern man for his son Bill and grandson Chris on board of the Jericho Queen.

Paul enjoyed hunting, fishing, ice fishing, candle pin bowling and attending local fairs, particularly the Union and Windsor Fairs. He was a member of the Advent Christian Church. He was also a long time member of the Friendship Fire Department and when his health did not allow him to be as active he would still go visit the department. He loved playing Santa Claus for the fire department. Paul was a selfless man and always put others first and he was always willing to lend a hand.

Paul was predeceased by his parents as well as his brother Roger Bramhall.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Joyce (Neal) Bramhall of Friendship, son Bill Bramhall and wife Terry of Waldoboro, daughters Cindy Thompson and husband Robert of Rockwood, Terry Anderson and husband Rick of Pasadumkeag, son Paul Bramhall, Jr. of Lewiston, daughter Carol Colburn and husband Tom of Friendship, sister Rose Severson and husband Albert of Waldoboro, 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
