Susan May Firman Mueller, 83 years old, born October 18, 1935, passed away on April 13, 2019 after a brief illness.

She was born in Pompton Plains, New Jersey to Harold and Irma Firman. She leaves two sisters Marge Laux of McMinnville, OR and Sally Bonner of Neptune City, NJ. She leaves three children, Brett of Mooresville, NC, Luke of Maine, and Keith of Willsboro, NY, two grandchildren, Alex of Mooresville, NC and Christy Lyn of Friendship, ME. She leaves many nieces and nephews.

Sue graduated from Manasquan High School in New Jersey and married her high school sweetheart, Carl Mueller to whom she was married for 50 years until his passing in 2004. They moved to Friendship, Maine in 1981 where she was active in the community. She was a member of the Friendship United Methodist Church and helped at the Friendship-Cushing Food Pantry. She had been a hospice volunteer and worked at the voting booths. She enjoyed traveling, knitting, sewing, swimming, gardening, dominoes and local events, as well as time with friends and family.

A service will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Friendship United Methodist Church, 24 Main Street in Friendship.

Donations in her memory may be made to the Friendship United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 189, Friendship, ME 04547.

Arrangements are entrusted to Hall Funeral and Cremation Services, 949 Main Street, Waldoboro, Maine. Condolences may be shared with the family at

Sue I Met in Belmar Grammar School. Sharing Birthday time as was done in the 40 s. I recall she lived in South Belmar. I mved1946 to West Belmar. We caught up again at MHS for 4 yrs. I had known Carl as well in high school. As they operated the nursery we visit with our then increasing families. We moved to MA. Visited them for weekends later years. Attending cookout at local Town Masonic hall. I just spoke with in last 4 months. Sue an
amazing person, always resourceful, determinded,
a true friend. I shall remember for ever, treasure out moments together. By chance her father hired my husband, not knowing I knew Sue. Bob worked for harold in Asbury Park and Pt. Pleasant. As like Sue, always fair and loyal friend. To Sue s family she was a Blessing and good friend. Thank you for sharing her with us All. May each of you be comforted in your loss. she I'd now with the Lord, we shared and with the love of her whole life Carl.
