Obituary for Jeannette L. Mank

Jeannette L. Mank, 92, of Warren, passed away on August 8, 2019 at the Owls Head Homestead. She was born January 11, 1927 in Warren, Maine, to Arthur L. Perry and Ruth (Watts) Perry. Jeannette grew up in Warren on the Western Road, attended local schools and graduated from Warren High School in the Class of 1946.

She worked many jobs which included working on the family chicken farm, the Woolen Mill, Warren Telephone Company as an operator, at Van Baalens in Rockland, drove a gravel truck, worked at GTE Sylvania for 40 years and never missed a day of work. Jeannette raised strawberries at her farm for many years.

She was a senior member of the Warren Baptist Church, Rebekahs, former Warren Grange member, D.A.V. member for many years serving as Maine State Commander, travelling to many places for them transporting the handicapped Veterans to Togus for their treatments, where she also served as a volunteer. Jeannette enjoyed work around the farm, travelling, and playing Skip-Bo with friends.

Jeannette is preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Ruth, her husband, Vernon A. Mank, sister, Phyllis R. Meilton and brothers, Carl Perry and Walter Perry.

A private burial will be held.
