Obituary for Pamela Susan Goguen
Pamela Susan Goguen, 64, of Colorado, passed away unexpectedly on August 26, 2019 at her mother’s home in Nobleboro. She was born on April 17, 1955 to Richard P. Goguen and Catherine P. (Genthner) Scudder in Brookline, Massachusetts. Pam attended Beatty Elementary School, in Buena Park, CA, Sunny Hills High School in Fullerton, CA and the University of Santa Barbara in Santa Barbara, CA and graduate school at the University of Colorado in Denver, CO, as well as the International University in Evian, France.
Pam was an architect/interior designer and was currently employed as an Ed Tech at the South Bristol School. She was devoted to the children and personnel and was excited about the new year. Although Pam was brought up in California, lived in Colorado, Maine was her special place and was in the process of changing residency.
She enjoyed art, gardening, skiing and kayaking. She was an avid environmentalist. She won many awards throughout her career including outstanding designer of the year from Slifer Designs in Aspen, Colorado. She also did the design work for the popular restaurants, called The Chophouse around the country, including Denver.
Pam is predeceased by her father, Richard Goguen, her step-father Rowlett Scudder, and her brother Peter Goguen, She was also predeceased by Dr. Norman Goguen of Lynnfield, MA and grandmother, Mildred Genthner of Nobleboro, Maine.
She is survived by her mother “Patty" Genthner Scudder of Nobleboro and California, sister Paula Jean Meany and her husband Patrick of Lewis, CO, sister Nancy Lynn Hughes and husband Bill, of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, niece Mackenzie Meany of Costa Mesa, CA, nephew Ryan Meany and wife Stephanie and great niece, Olivia of Colorado Springs, CO, her aunt Jean Goguen and family of Lynnfield, MA. She is also survived by her lifelong best friends, Dee Anne Brock, Annie Parsons, and Michelle Heilpern all of California, as well as her constant companion of 12 years Yo Yo, her Havanese devoted pet. She will be sadly missed. She never forgot a birthday or anyone’s special event.
Services will be announced at a later date when her family and friends in so many states can gather as one.
