Elaine (Goodson) Williamson, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2020. She was
born in Saco, Maine to Maurice Goodson and Beryl (Saindon) Goodson on October 13,
1941. Douglas Williamson, her devoted husband of 62 ½ years loved her to the end and

Elaine worked as a waitress at Moody’s Diner and was a 20 year employee of Hannaford.
Elaine enjoyed many things in life, just to name a few: volunteering for Medomak
Valley High School Boosters Club, riding her Honda 250 motorcycle, and floating in her
pool. She was the number one fan at sporting events for her children and grandchildren,
loved animals, was a New England sports fan, volunteering at Cove’s Edge,

She was achampion at Parcheesi (may have cheated!), participating in sports,
She was the founder of the littlest buck club, and known to be the class clown at work.
She was known for her love of frogs. Her house is full of the small figurines that people
collected and gave her. Elaine loved weekend road trips with her husband and daughters.
She lived life to the fullest and had her sense of humor and smile until the end.

She is survived by her husband Douglas A. Williamson, a sister Judy Chastain, a brother
Peter Goodson, daughters Jackie York and Justine Hill, sons Randy Williamson and
Richard Williamson, 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Elaine is predeceased by her father Maurice Goodson, mother Beryl (Saindon) Goodson
and step-father Richard (Dick) Pinkham.

Sending hugs for the loss of your Mom. I was lucky enough to have her in my work life for years and then personal life. I will cherish the moments that she taught me little life lessons. Her laugh was infectious and I can hear it to this day. She will definitely be taking charge of all the angels she is with now. Kristin (Brown) Lawson 💔

Trying to decide where to start, already emotional about writing the end. I always knew I couldn't pretend to know what it would be like to lose you. We have talked about it enough, safe to say I was not prepared.

Oh my goodness, a week ago Thursday was an almost familiar trip to the ER. Doctor's would make a few adjustments, work a few things out, and you would return home within a day or two. Saturday morning came, you were getting visits from your children, Dad was with you and things were progressing along in an "almost" normal way.

An hour later we had to make the painful decision to enter end of life care. As always with your help and guidance. You had been so clear on your wishes. (Thank you) How quickly our lives were instantly changed for the rest of our days.

I expect the family has had a lot of time to reflect upon what you meant to each and every one of us. As an individual and a family. The way you were a quiet leader. Never pretending to have the answers, and forcing those opinions on anyone. But leading by example, always positive, always smiling, and always laughing. I thank you (and Dad) so much for being my beacon thru life.

I have my regrets. That I didn't hug you more, didn't kiss your cheek more, hold your hand more, or tell you how much I loved you more. Always knowing there would be tomorrow. Tomorrow is here, you continue to lead, to be my beacon. I will tell my family I love them more, I'll hug them more, and make them aware of how much they mean to me.

Thank you Mom, for the last four days of your life here on earth. So much heartache, so many tears. Everyone telling you it was OK to go. But no, in typical courageous fashion, you hung on for the last arrival that was coming to see you off. In hindsight, giving all of us a chance to grieve, to laugh and to cry together. Only serving to bring us closer as a family before you left us. In your quiet, and familiar unspoken way.

I love you Mom. I will miss and cherish everything about you. You are the best!

Your loving son,
