Obituary

Pat Fry, 79, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2020 surrounded by her loving family.

Pat was born and raised in Maine, spent many years in Pennsylvania before returning home to be near family. The coast of Maine was rooted in her soul, as a teenager she spent one summer working on Monhegan Island, and as the saying goes, “what happens on Monhegan, stays on Monhegan”. Ocean Point was her favorite place on earth, her strong family ties would bring her to East Boothbay whenever possible. The smell of the ocean, looking for treasures along the shore, and spending time with her family was all she needed. Pat even figured out a way to spend one summer in the area and waitressed at the Ebb Tide restaurant alongside her favorite sister, Lorna.

Pat was predeceased by her husband Paul Fry, and mother Mille and stepfather Jere Coosard of East Boothbay.

She is survived by two sons, Richard Minoty and his wife Michelle of Augusta, Scott Minoty and his wife Carol of Vassalboro, daughter Shannon Kroh and her husband Louis of PA.

Sisters; Lynn Gilley Martin of Southport, Lorna Morse of Fl., Marie Lydecker also of FL. and Kathy Getchell of CO.

Pat was blessed to have many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family members, dear friends, and just three weeks ago met her newest great grandchild.

She loved camping with her sister Lorna Morse (Gene Stover) at Shore Hills Campground and a stop at Bet’s Fish Fry was a must. One of her most memorable vacations was a trip to Siesta Key FL. with her Mom to visit Marie and her family. Pat had an infectious laugh and her naïve personality provided many hilarious moments and memories that will be shared around a campfire for years. She will be deeply missed by those who were honored to know and love her.

I sit outside in the early morning watching the sunrise , drinking my coffee and remembering our morning routine. Whichever sister woke first , called the other one, typically before 6:30. She would greet me by saying , "morning sister dear, I'd reply, morning honey". I sit quietly now outside remembering you,

P - patient
A - attentive
T - tender

Nothing fancy, always genuine, sensitive and sentimental, ready to listen without judgement, eager to console me, praise me or gently redirect me.

Her hugs were so meaningful, gentle, tender and always full of emotion. I could feel her heart full of so much love penetrating and radiating into my soul. With her hands cupped around my face she would say, " l love you dear."

Our sister relationship was one that most siblings dream of. The bond we shared was just unexplainable. We often laughed about being twins born many years apart.

The past eight months has been a journey we slowly adjusted to. She is free and I know where she is, she is forever in my heart.

I miss you.

I remember when Pat, Lorna and I worked at the Ebb Tide. After work we would go to the Tugboat have a few drinks and watch the Argo go by loaded with tourist and , well the rest of the story is not to be told, but we had fun times. Rest In Peace Pat.
