My Condolences for all family and friends of Evelyn she was a wonderful person, she will be very much missed.
I remember all the fun I had when I was a child going to visit the Colbys in Somerville, I always had fun, we did sleep overs on weekends, Evelyn and my mom Mary, would be drinking their coffee sombreros and Guy and my dad Edward would be drinking Seagrams and ginger, all 4 of them would be up all night drinking and playing cards. Evelyn was a great worker, she and guy worked with my dad at Knowlton Iron Works, and my dad told me Evelyn could out work the 2 of them. At one time Evelyn was staying with me and my dad, for a short time and on weekends we would loadup her van and go to the Revere Flea Market she loved selling at the flea markets. She liked my parents, they would go up to visit Evelyn and stay for a month at a time, they would go to Beano every night they were there.
The last time I saw Evelyn was when I was on vacation in Palermo, I drove over to Gabes house where Evelyn and my dad were staying. we all went out to eat, then went we to a Beano, we had a great time I think she won that nite. So many great memories.
I am so sorry to hear of her passing, I am married and have 2 son, I have been meaning to get in touch with her and bring my family up to meet and visit her, I'm sure they would have loved her, but life and time has gone by so fast, I really wish I had taken the time and gone and visited her. Thoughts and prayers
