Obituary for Paul Howard Krause

Paul Howard Krause, 70, of Waldoboro, passed away January 29, 2021 at the Waldoboro Green. Paul was born on November 15, 1950 to Otto P. Krause and Florence (Wells) Krause in Hartford, Connecticut.

Paul worked for UNICAST and RGIS for years until he retired in 2009.

When he was 10 years old Paul was in the Civil Air Patrol in Willimantic, CT where his father was the instructor at Air Flight. He was presented with a Junior Pilots Certificate. He father owned his own small plane. He flew the plane that is now on display at an antique plane museum in Maine. From 1966 to 1969 Paul was a stock car driver in Islip, NY. At a young age he was recognized at the Naval Base in Groton, CT for knitting a SWATCH underwater.

Paul loved anything having to do with the outdoors. Camping was his favorite. He enjoyed playing his guitar. He took his son Alex to the airport and watched the planes come and go for hours. He built a whole town with the Lionel train set.

Paul is predeceased by his son Alexander Krause in 2013. He is survived by his children, Shannon E. Whitney of Manchester, NH, Dawn M. Maheu of Willimantic, CT, step-son Christopher Brown of Ashford, CT.; grandchildren Alysha Spells of Ft. Pierce, Fl, Apryl Norris of Manchester, NH, Ariel Richards of Manchester, NH, Brady Krause of Manchester, NH, Caitlyn Krause of Manchester, NH, Tristian Krause of Manchester, NH, Jay Mercure of Ft. Pierce, FL, Margaret Maheu of Willimantic, CT, Krystle Maheu of Willimantic, CT and Christopher Brown, Jr. of Ashford, CT.; and several great grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at a later time to be announced.
