Friends since working together in the late 60's at Ballantine Books on such blockbusters as Tolkien
Carol and I enjoyed attending book conferences and launches. After Carol moved on to other publishers we'd meet to enjoy the galleries and shows. Even found time to do a children's book together - The Luminous Pearl.
We visited friends in San Francisco. When Carol moved to Maine I learned about her new world which she loved. We continued to explore New York together. So many good memories.

I am so shocked to read of Carol's passing since I spoke with her only two weeks ago on a walk to the Grocery. She bent to speak to my little dog. Carol was a very talented and generous person. She helped non-profits all over the area create attractive newsletters, flyers, and invitations to events. I will miss her always welcoming smile. She will be sorely missed by many. My condolences to her family.
