Obituary for Elizabeth M Anderson
Elizabeth “Betsy” M. Anderson, 68, passed away on September 7th, 2022, at the Sussman House in Rockport, Maine. Elizabeth was the daughter of Edward Ray and Ruth Davis.
Betsy grew up in Connecticut and attended local schools. She graduated from Staples High School in Westport, Connecticut. She studied dressage while attending Earlham College in Vermont. She met and married her husband, Mark Anderson.
She had many jobs throughout her life. She was a reporter in Virginia, she once had her own gardening business, and she was also an estate caretaker and gardener.
Throughout her life, Betsy had many hobbies. She had a love for horses and owned many. She was a dressage rider and was a volunteer at the Vose Library in Union. She also loved writing and attended many writing groups and classes.
Betsy was an artist. She did all sorts of different art, including carving, block printing, and painting. She was a very enthusiastic woman, and had a love for animals that carried into her art.
Betsy is survived by her husband, Mark Anderson; sister, Susan Jackson; and cousins, Rebecca Davis, Andrew Davis, and Phil Davis.
A memorial service will be held for Elizabeth on Saturday, September 24, 2022, at 11am at Hall Funeral Home of Waldoboro, 949 Main Street, Waldoboro, Maine 04572.
