Obituary for Orrin L. Parker
Orrin L. Parker, 81, of Friendship, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2023, with his family by his side.
He was the son of Ensley Ellery Parker, Sr. and Elmira Parker Baker. He was born on October 31, 1941.
Orrin worked at Brooks Monuments and then worked at Bath Iron Works for 40 years until he retired.
He was predeceased by his parents, Ensley Ellery Parker Sr. and Elmira Parker Baker, his son Christy Parker; brothers Ben Russell, Howard Parker and sister Cathy Card.
Orrin is survived by his wife of 47 years, Dorothy Parker; his siblings, Orfa Orff, Ensley E. Parker and Sylvia Skidgel. He is survived by his children Diane Kelley and husband Mike, Carol Parker Gifford, Orrin M. Parker and wife Amber, Rebecca Delano and companion Ben Arsenault, Roberta Pinkham and 3 stepchildren Kimberly Foster and husband Scott, Heather Meservey, William R. Meservey and wife Kathy; foster daughter Judy Roscoe and life long friends William and Jane Brown. He has several grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
A time of visitation will be held on Friday, March 17, 2023 from 5-7 p.m. and a funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. both at Hall’s of Waldoboro, 949 Maine Street, in Waldoboro. Burial will take place in the spring.
