Obituary for Lynda H. Stinson

Lynda H.  Stinson
Lynda H. Stinson, 67, of Warren, passed away peacefully January 5, 2016 at home.
She was born April 23, 1948 in Newton, Massachusetts, the daughter of Charles and Elvi Hudson.

As a young girl Lynda moved to West Rockport Maine with her family. She graduated from Rockland High School in 1966. After high school she attended University of Maine at Farmington and graduated in 1970 with a degree in education.

She married Randy Salisbury in 1970 and together they had a son, James.

Lynda taught her entire career at SAD 40 teaching kindergarten and first grade. She retired in 2001 after 31 years of teaching.

Lynda met Clare Stinson in 1984 and they married in 1985 in Clinton, Maine. After their marriage they moved to Unity, Maine where they lived until 2001, then moving to Warren, Maine.
Lynda liked art, loved to garden, loved animals, enjoyed crocheting, knitting and painting in her spare time.

She was preceded in death by: her father Charles; Aunt Eila Leach; and step daughter Andrea Lambert.

She is survived by her mother, Elvi Hudson of Owls Head, ME; her husband Clare Stinson of Warren, ME; her son, James Salisbury and wife Angela of Hawaii; brothers Larry Hudson of West Rockport, ME and Lance Hudson of Portland, ME; her Aunt Eini Johnston of Arizona and grandson Drew Lambert of the U.S. Virgin Islands; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A celebration of Lynda’s life will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Lynda’s name to The American Cancer Society, 1 Bowdoin Mill Island, Ste 300, Topsham, Maine 04086.
