Obituary for Rosemary Katherine Bradbury

Rosemary K. Bradbury, 78, of Waldoboro, passed away on April 2, 2016 at Lincoln Health in Damariscotta, Maine. She was born June 10, 1937 in Boston, Massachusetts, daughter of James F. Shaughnessy and Laura Stevens Drew.

Rosemary attended local schools and graduated from Barnstable High School.

Rosemary was a devoted advocate for all types of animals. She fostered as well as adopted many dogs, cats and birds. Her love of animals was a huge part of her life.

She was predeceased by her brother, Kenneth C. Shaughnessy, and her grandson, Kenneth James Bradbury, IV.

Rosemary is survived by her loving partner of 35 years, Ralph E. Rozell of Waldoboro, Maine, her former husband, Kenneth J. Bradbury, Jr. of Hyannis, MA, daughter, Kathryn Larsen of Hyannis, MA, sons Kenneth J. Bradbury III of Hyannis, Stephen S. Bradbury of Dennis, MA, daughter Erin L. Bradbury of Mashpee, MA, grandson, Samual A. Knott of Westborough, MA, granddaughter Amy L. Ricker of Wakefield, MA, granddaughter Shaughnessy F. Rogers of Mashpee, MA and grandson, Thomas J. Rogers of Boulder, CO.; sisters Laurel F. Smith of Friendship, ME, Catherine M. Murphy of Sandwich, Ma, brother Matthew J. Shaughnessy of Yarmouthport, MA, sister MaryEllen Challies of Sandwich, MA and great grandsons James E. Ricker of Wakefield, MA and Daniel H. Ricker of Wakefield, MA.

Donations in Rosemary’s memory may be made to the Lincoln County Animal Shelter, 27 Atlantic Highway, Edgecomb, ME 04556

A private family burial will be held at a later date.
