When I was child my mother always dragged me to the Harbor Shop for school shoppiing. Of course, as was the case of most boys, I hated every second of it.
I can still recall the old wooden well-worn floors, the rows of clothng, the counters, and that string dispenser that they would tie parcels up with.
Cora and Cal were always there to help. I was exteremly short and stout and hard to fit. Cora always could tell how much I hated to be there and was so nice in trying to help me get over the experience. She kindly referred to me as "husky" but I was FAT.
She was such a caring and sweet woman and a part of the my fondest memories of "going to the Harbor."
My sincere condolences to her family.
