Barbara Jean Tudor of New Harbor, Maine died peacefully on November 16, 2020 surrounded by her family. Barbara was born on June 25, 1932 in Brookline, Massachusetts and lived in many states throughout her life from Massachusetts to California and even abroad to England during her husband‘s Air Force career. She graduated in 1950 from Brookline High School where she met her future husband, Robert (Bob) Tudor. Barbara and Bob were queen and king of the prom during their senior year of high school. They were married almost 50 years. Barbara was also head cheerleader at Brookline High School. She worked in many non-profit organizations throughout her career - churches and most recently, she held the position of Executive Director of the Damariscotta Region Chamber of Commerce for about ten years, starting in 1988. She belonged to the Rotary Club during her career at the Chamber, and she enjoyed her membership with the New Harbor Fortnightly Ladies Group and attending the special luncheons at the Edgecomb Community Church. She loved Maine, and her home in New Harbor more specifically. Every time we pulled up to her driveway, she announced, I love my home so much.

Barbara had a zest for life and very much loved socializing with everyone. She enjoyed knitting as a pastime, traveling, and most of all visiting and spending time with her family and 8 grandchildren/1 great grandchild. She looked forward to each summer gathering by the ocean with her family, enjoying good Maine seafood and good conversation with those close family members.

Barbara is predeceased by her husband Robert Tudor, her father, Walter Ernest MacLeod and mother, Jenny Mosher MacLeod and her brother Walter Ernest MacLeod (Ernie). She is survived by four children, Robert (Colleen) Tudor, Virginia (Brian) Asmussen, Pauline Pavlis, and Charles (Joan) Tudor, her sister, Louise Hardina and brother, David (Marcia) MacLeod. She also has 8 grandchildren: Jeff (Allie) Asmussen, Elizabeth (Matt) Chapman, Robert (Andrea) Tudor, Sean Tudor, Lauren Pavlis, Charles Pavlis, Ally Tudor, Rachel Tudor and one great grandchild little Robbie Tudor. A special mention to her best friend since grade school, Ginny Moon and Gail Gifford, New Harbor -- her friend and "heaven on earth" angel.

Visitation/Celebration of Life service will be held at the Hall Funeral Home, 949 Main Street, in Waldoboro, on Saturday, November 21, 2020, with a walk-through visitation from 10-11 a.m. followed by the Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 a.m. A private family burial service will be held at the New Harbor Cemetery. On this Thanksgiving day we are thinking about what we are thankful for and having known Barbara for even just a few years comes to mind. She exemplified thankfulness as we know she found such joy in being in her home and with her family every summer. You could see how her face just lit up at the mention of those gatherings! She must have done something right as a mother because her kids and grandkids all were so respectful of her and she of them. She let that joy show from her heart to her face to her smile and out to her girlish laugh. She garnered the respect and admiration of her friends and neighbors in New Harbor and beyond. We are thankful to have known Barbara and know that you, her family members, will have many happy memories to share during the holidays and into the new year. Barbara will be truly missed by all who knew her. With sympathy, Trish and Gus Constantinou

We only have the memory of meeting Barbara once, during the 3 days of celebrating Rob & Drea Tudor's wedding. Always hearing fond stories of Barbara, she didn't disappoint upon our introduction. What a charming hostess she was to the guests! Bill especially recalls quite a long conversation they shared. She had that special warmth someone who had, with her husband, developed from raising such a close knit family, and from participating in so many community and charitable events in her lifetime. We are sure every memory will bring her close to your hearts, always. With our heartfelt sympathies to all, Bill & Cherie Conway

Bob, Ginny, Pauline & Charlie,
We want to send our love, support and deepest sympathy to each of you, and your family, at this difficult time.
It is never easy to say goodbye to our loved ones. Aunt Barbara was full of life. She cherished her family and her friends.
We will miss her very much. Rich and I will take a trip to The Lighthouse this summer to have a lobster roll in her honor, and her memory. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

We offer condolences to the whole family, Ginny, Bob, Charlie and Pauline especially. We weren’t family but were always invited to be a part of yours every summer. After nearly 40 years of good times and conviviality we felt like we were actual members. We still hear Barbs voice and laughter watching all the kids grow up. A force of nature, we will miss her. For now we send wishes for solace during your time together saying goodbye. In sympathy and sadness,
Pamela Getson-Larry Rudner ,
Leland and Andrew Rudner
